Suzi Hass has been a free lance photographer for over 30 years. Born and raised in Door County, she’s familiar with the area and its unique qualities. Beginning in the mid ’80s with B/W news images, weddings with ‘big hair’ and taffeta, selling scenic photos at local gift shops and competing at the county Fair, she’s watched the business of photography change through the years…mostly for the better, sometimes not. Weddings in Door County are still a ‘holy grail’ for many folks and your locations and choices in this beautiful area are as endlessly varied as the wonderful folks about to be hitched. Whether you want a ceremony at a white country chapel or on the deck of a Washington Island carferry, Suzi has done them all. Many families who live in the area or have connections to our county are ‘repeat’ customers. Young people who have had Suzi do their Senior portraits often call back for their weddings, then family photos or reunions and anniversary parties booked for the parents or grandparents. It’s an honor to be a part of their lives…
The stunning Door County scenery is also a favorite subject matter to Suzi. The changing seasons, shoreline views and of course, sunsets, are often framed. On occasion, Suzi has an exhibit hanging at a gallery or local business. News of these showings can be found on her Facebook page.
